As per "Happy Twinkle Musically Delicious Christmas Candy BuckleToes :D urging I am posting this for some more ID.

The right wing of the plane has NX-211 on it. Doing a quick google search reveals that those are the number of Charles Lindbergh's plane "The Spirit of St Louis" Looking more closely at the back it would appear to me to be more of a medallion of some sort rather than a buckle, but I am not sure.

Just looking for more info if anyone has any.

Thanks for looking and HH to all.

Here's something on ebay. Close, but no cigar.

thats pretty interesting. If you took mine and cut away the edges you could match that one exactly. I wonder if the one on Ebay was altered like that or if two designs existed. Taking a closer look at mine I can just make out the St Louis on the ..err Hood.

I was also thinking, same manufacturer different casting dates. The fuselage on the one on ebay has rivets. I would venture to say that yours is older. Also, like you say "altered".

Bob, I'm new to this site so forgive me if this is a duplicate e-mail. A co-worker found the same exact medallion/belt buckle this weekend in New Kent County using a metal detector. Were you able to find anything on the Spirit of St Louis medallion?

Thanks,
Brian
