Long hunt today in a Baltimore County park that I had never detected. Best finds are three pieces of silver, two of which are spoons (Steiff), 4 wheats, a Westinghouse Golden Jubilee token (1936), a Hormel good luck token, and, surprisingly, what appears to be a fired .58 cal minie ball. It weighs just over 500 grains, has the right patina and markings, so I'm calling it the real deal.

Nice !!! Congrats!!!

Nice finds love the minie

That’s some nice silver spoons you got there.

Plenty of cool tokens and relics...and it looks like those spoons are silver and not plated. Nice hunt! :occasion14:

You are correct, Nick. Spoons are sterling and made by Steiff in Baltimore.

Thanks Locke. They had a "run-in" with a bulldozer.

Thanks cmthunder. The .58 cal was a shocker.

Thanks Randy. The Equinox 600 with stock coil was hearing targets down a foot today. Most targets were deep.

I hope this isn't your last .58 Mickey D :icon_thumright: Nice looking saves!

Dang nice ground you're digging. The Silver spoons are awesome. Keep on truckin'.

Nice finds. Congrats on the silver finds.

Let just say that I had a very lucky first time there. Went back for a two hours this week and got clad and a wheat.
It is an interesting place that shows obvious evidence of past trash pits.

Very nice relics! :icon_thumleft:
