Good Evening,

I am heading down to St. Augustine for the first time over March break and was wondering if there are any restrictions on detecting the beaches in the area?

Thanks

There are some boundaries to be aware of, you could look through the Florida section they had alot of detailed discussion a few months back. Other wise the regular hotel strip beaches are fine to detect on.

You need to be aware of the northern and southern beaches of St. Johns County. Matanzas is a Federal land. No MD'ing. From the Mantanzas beach access ramp - north, is wide open. This is also where the concentration of visitors will be. The Vilano inlet/beach can also be detected. Going north, the GTM reserve is federal property. Don't worry, you won't miss out on anything there as no one goes there. Have fun and good luck. You will probably run into me as I hit the beaches often. I'll be the one with a Garrett Sea Hunter II.
