Headed off down to this old mining town SW of Buena Vista today lookin around. Always see somethin different every time I'm down there, and I always like takin pics of the cascade on Chalk Creek. Most remarkable thing today is I got a pic with no tourists in it, cause around the corner is about 200 folks milling around lookin the place over. I noted tags from 6 different states and one foreign country (Texas).

Very cool photo's RGINN! Always enjoy you and Tamrocks pics of CO. Love those Rocky Mountain streams.

Been awhile since I took a jaunt up that way.St. Elmo is like taking a step back in time. Great shot of the creek. I wonder if I could get that affect out of my camera?

One foreign country? Yep, I'll sure buy that these days. You name em, we got em. ..Great pics of a wonderful old place. Thanks for posting...

Looks like an awesome place to spend the day!

I use the tv (time value) setting on my Canon for that TR. The first one's in 1/8 and the second's in 1/5. Best to use a tripod as it's a longer shutter time but if you're steady it comes out ok.

With the closeness of those outhouses, I guess you really get to know your neighbors really well RGINN?:laughing7:
You did a really great job if you took those pics of the creek without a tripod. I don't know if my hands were ever that steady:icon_scratch:

No tripod this time OD and it may be that all the firearms training I had helps with that, or so I figure.
