Looks real to me your sure its fake????Ive found many rings gold filled or plated I wish they never did that.

Yes I’m sure acid test besides light scrap takes the gold right off . ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1534635050.062020.webpinside looks way better than the outside

Somebody got taken on the sale? If it says 18k and the pic shows different? But what do I know?

Still a nice ring and far better than a pull-tab! :occasion14:

been participating in metal detecting forums for more than 20 years. Can't tell you how many of those I've seen posted over the years. There sure have been a lot of people that got ripped off when they bought them

I found a 14k fake braclete a while back. Most of the gold was off the outside and it was real easy to see it was fake. Some person got taken on yours and mine.

Crazy!! Congrats on the Bucket List Find :dontknow:

Those fake bands strike again. I dug 2 but there was no gold gilt remaining. Just the base metal. They were in really old sites so I think they go back to at least the late 1800’s! [emoji106]

that stamp is usually found inside rings over 100 yrs old on real ones - wonder if it is at least old

Nice find no matter if its fake or not, but like Casper said above, I also wonder if it has any age to it. Maybe Jewelerguy can shed some light on it's approximate age ??? "D"
