Found this ring on a 1930s permission. She is no looker and I thought a junker for sure. While cleaning it, I saw the 16K00 stamped on the inside.

Looking for help on the ID. Holding out a glimmer of hope that it might be something better that costume. Thanks as always for the assist and HH. PKQA2990[1].webpIMG_1250[1].webp

of course I'm looking at pictures, but based on what I see I lean towards it being real. Not all gold comes out shiny. I've seen gold rings that were dug that had a patina from the ground being acidic or heavily fertilized. Based on the type of stamping, in my opinion it dates pre-1930's

16K is an odd stamp
With a 00 along with it
Could it be the quality of wash/plating on the ring.

thanks! you are giving me hope

Nice Ring !
I'd take it to a local Jeweler and get his opinion.
They will usually give you an idea of what you have for free.
thanks and will do

Nice Find. Congrats ! Here's an interesting link about 16k gold.
"16k gold is a type of gold that is found in some antique jewelry items such as chains, rings, and pendants"
"This type of gold, while not always easy to find, is a good option for jewelry because it's durable yet it still looks great. It contains 33.3% alloy but it should be fine for those with skin sensitivity."

" Not always easy to find "

Have you tried lemon juice on the outside of the band to clean it up some?
