Star Silver Certificate

Just wondering about this.I know that the mint put these stars on some bills but cannot remember why or if it is really THAT rare. It is a 1957 A. I would love to know the value, and anything else about it.

Star notes are replacement notes, made after the first note with this number was found to be defective-and then destroyed. Nearly 95 million '57-A star notes were printed. Current values (actual sale prices of comparable bills) can be found on Ebay--under Completed Listings.
