Star Tongue Buckle!! WOW!! Got me excited!!

Mark and I got a lead on a nice Gold Rush cabin site. So Mark, Andrew and I headed out to the site and documented our little adventure.

The site was awesome and although it had been hunted before we were still able to manage some fantastic finds. the Star Tongue is by far my favorite dig and I was pretty excited when this baby popped out!! Don't see many STAR Buckles!!

Found a great variety of coins and other great relics!!

I am an hour west of you, and recently dug a complete wreath from a spoon and wreath buckle, along with some dragoon buttons.

Terrific find you have there. It is strange to see so many coins lately that have been holed. Once I had found a large cent which had a huge hole bored through it. Looks like yours ,they must have used it as a washer.

RON WENT OUT DETECTING NOT KNOWING WHAT HE WOULD FIND, AND FOUND A STAR BUCKLE TO HIS SURPRISE, SCALE WEIGHT AND PENNY TO ROUND THE HUNT OUT, A BUCKLE LIKE THAT WOULD MAKE ANY MAN SCREAM AND SHOUT. YES SIR NICE FIND................................

That's one fantastic hunt.

The only gold ever found in my area was pretty low grade stuff.
You guys in CA have really great potential to hit on some amazing stuff and this time, you did just that.
