I have been detecting for 4 years here in mifflin county and met several people who enjoy the hobby as well. Many of them asked me about starting a club and several others say they would be interested in one as well. I dont know where to start though or have any idea what most clubs do. i would like it be more of a historic recovery group more than just a treasure hunting club which would help us in the community and with confronting people about searching. other questions i have are should there be memberships for raising money for certain group events? how many group searches/meetings a month or year? any help to get me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
