IMG_0005.webpIMG_0013.webpIMG_0015.webpI was out the other day and found this interesting gentleman. He said he grew up around this old saw mill that his father brought to its current location in 1933, he says the saw mill was bought buy the old village that no longer is visible, just farm fields now. The stream engines still work and he and his family do steam shows when in the area. He has a peace of elm hanging on his wall with a horse show in it and there is a story to it as well. His father was milling this three foot log when he hit something, this horse show was buried in the middle of the tree, they figure the horse showIMG_0016.webp must have been hung on a tree branch many years before and the tree grew around it, now that is something.

Great pics and very interesting story to go with it. I bet that old fellow could tell some really great stories.

That's Cool!
A relative of mine bought an Altman-Taylor back in the 1920s and had it shipped by the railroad from Minnesota to Montana. When he pasted on it was given to a museum back in Minnesota. They shipped it back to Minnesota on the same railroad. I thought that was quite interesting.

Good Ol' days for sure.
