Steel Cent

I had a yard sale this morning and asked the owner I could hunt his house. It was his moms from 1957 and he was selling it. It was a small yard but I did get 11 wheaties. I tumble them tonight and lo and behold one was a 1943 Steel cent. I thought they would've disintegrated but it's a second one I've dug.

Man, I bet that got your heart rate going, I'm constantly reaching for my magnet looking through my wheaties. That is definitely on my want to find list, except a 1944 steel wheat back penny.

I thought I found a 43 copper earlier this year...

any I have ever found were just layers of rust. that one came out pretty good

Nice, I don't remember ever finding one, but you never know you dig up a lot of rusted stuff so, I may have,anyway congrats on your finds.
