Dug this today, in the woods. A hunter may have lost it. Five yards from an abandoned ground blind. I'm thinking not very old. The pin and locking mechanism still functional. Says sterling on the back, with a hallmark. The red appears to be fading? Painted?Thanks for looking GL HH

I think the red may be a resin of some kind. Not to sure of the age but I guess pre 1960's. These are just guesses, I'm really not sure.

One thing I'm sure of, is its a cool silver find !!

That's a nice find - I wonder if it could be some kind of nursing corps badge WWII ?
