My time has been limited to get out and when I do, it is just to places that I have been before... Hoping to get out exploring and asking for permissions soon.
Anyway, I got a 1965 nickel that sounded like crap, but repeatable, I was expecting maybe a dog license. And then I was ready to go... But I made one loop around the barn and got a scratchy, higher signal so I decided to dig it since this place days to about 1840... Never know what it could be! It was a little bent but it straightened out ok, and I thought I saw a making and BINGO, I did... Sterling Silver. Wth... What is this THING??

I like it... That's about all i know though, ha ha ha...

Looks like an end decoration for something nice. Make it look fancier with silver...

For a book corner or tin type pic for decoration ?

Great looking piece of silver. My first thoughts were photo album corner:icon_scratch:

I've had similar thoughts about it. There is definitely a slot for something to slide in. Maybe an old glass negative picture? The gap is thicker than the tins are...

IMO... Part / corner of a Picture frame ?

How about a ladies collar corner??? We just came up with that idea here at work...

The piece is definitely intact, whole... Complete. Nothing missing.

Looks like a corner of a picture frame, cool..

Whatever it is, it is gorgeous! Beautiful piece. Congrats!

Alright, so I guess I'm going to label it as being the corner on a picture frame... I love detecting...

Maybe a part of Victorian ladies purse.
