I dug this today at a park I’ve had lot of successful finds today I decided to try a spot that I have in the past found nothing! This was after a decent walk to first spot a different location got skunked there.
Today I had the Nokta Multi Kruzer and I dug a bunch of junk almost to the point of going back to switch machines out but this was the best and last find for the day.
What you’re looking at is a cool piece of history it’s a WWII is a US Army Air Force Bomber Bombardier Group. The pin is sterling silver pin 1939-1945

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Very nice !

Excellent find. That has great history.

Nice find! Everyone who participated in the airborne missions of WWII were part of a very special breed. By coincidence I recently acquired the diaries of a WWII airman, though I'm not sure of his position in the plane. Here are a few pages, maybe it will help give you a sense of what the man who wore your bombardier pin experienced day to day...

Yea it is neat to find coins that I love to. This piece can directly relate to a first hand person that was involved on a bomber crew from WWII is incredible piece of history. Thank you for looking

Wow that is amazing thank you for sharing. To read the words from the crew members is piece of history that needs to be shared taught to next generations of children.

Now that's a cool find! Congrats!
