Steve’s Detector Rods with Herke cuff

I’ve had Steve’s detector rod with a counterbalance for about a year. My factory cuff broke about 2 weeks ago so I ordered a Herke cuff from Steve. The combination of the weighted counter balance with the Herke cuff really balances out the nose heavy feeling of the equinox. It makes it feel as light as a feather. I thought I would share what I believe is a vast improvement over the stock shaft and cuff. Plus the Herke cuff has a longer Velcro strap that works while wearing a winter jacket.

I have and reported on this very set up and it’s the best I’ve used since I bought my first detector in 1970.
