Nice! Some Silver is always a welcome find along with some pocket money. Wtg!

Thanks and yeah, any silver lining, no matter how small. Always seems to sweeten the walk.

I'm thinking though, I'm wondering how much longer coinshooting will continue. I think we're reaching a max soon.

What with the way the world is moving away from carrying change at all and the coins being made cheaper and cheaper. The ones that do drop simply corrode away in the ground nowadays. Might not be much purpose down the road for the grandkids. :dontknow:

Nice coin shooting :icon_thumleft:

Rings are still gonna slip off fingers and clasps will still break, spilling pendants and chains onto the ground, Gary. The grandkids will be ok. Nice finds.

Another lovely walk, congrats! :occasion14:

I fear not, Dave.

Yes....there will *always* be things to find. But, as you of all people should know, simply by your lack of OD nickels. Some coins are getting exceedingly difficult to find. There will be rings and "things" to find. But I refer to a personal "first love", specifically "coin"-shooting.

The world is increasingly getting away from *carrying/using* "coins". Turning more and more to erzatz means of purchasing, (plastic, bitcoin). Ever find one of them with your detector?

Worse yet is the quality of "modern" coinage. Disintegrates in mere months!

No, my friend, coin shooting is dwindling. Eventually...it will be gone. The good thing is...they will never miss it as they won't have had the experience of the feeling of revealing a wonderful, old, gold coin or some such.

If I wanted to get rich or find rings and things, I would do my "walking" solely in the water.

Life goes on. Que sera.....sera.

Just being able to get for a short walk is good for the body, and with the benefits of a few goodies.

Nice finds for a short walk. Congrats
