What was the rest of the parking lot paved with?
Does it have any optical properties, like Iceland Spar, Ulexite, or other?

Just a guess, but I'm thinking a broken headlight off of some high end vehicle

Hi Craigzogo,
Welcome to the "Show"!

I wonder if this is Amber?
Texas has AMBER—a rich brown to yellowish has been found near Eagle Pass in Creta ceous coal, and in Terlingua Creek in Brewster County.

How can you tell if a rock is amber?

How to test for fake Baltic amber. How do I know amber is ...

All you have to do is mix two cups of warm water with a quarter cup of salt in a bowl, then stir the mixture until the salt has completely dissolved. Once you have done this, place the piece of amber in the solution. If the piece of amber floats then it is indeed authentic amber.
