Still pretty frozen up here

Hey all new to the forum, and fighting the winter weather up here, managed to get a out a few times the last couple of months when ever the ground has thawed and the snow has melted. Here is some pics of my most recent finds, this is from about mid december, last pic is kind of cool - name plate from revolution war period from Capt Maxwell 71st reg. broke as I was taking it apart. Great finds! That is the oddest placement to drill a hole in a coin I have seen. Doesn't seem like it would work for a necklace very well, I wonder how it was used?

Think they used to thread them on string_ I have found quite a few holed
