Stock market got you down? Oh, well - let's go metal detecting!!!

I was just sitting here watching my investments go in the toilet, and then got to thinking about the job market, politics, my EMPTY wallet, and everything else including gas prices.

Well, let's relax and think for a minute about our great hobby. Metal detecting is basically free (once you have equipment). It's fun, it's good exercise - it get's you away from the TV and the depressing news. Plus, it's a great way to get your mind off the stress going on out there.

So - for what it's worth, everyone hang in there, things will get better and swing those coils

I was just thinking the same thing....here is to metal detecting and finding the gold and silver.

I hope the DOW goes up tomorrow but either way it sounds like a beautiful weekend for detecting...the weather should be great. Hopefully the farmer harvests his crops soon.

Yup. Gold has out preformed the Dow by 400% for the last 8 years.
Good thing too. Otherwise, if it cost a dime to poop, I'd have to puke.

Don't worry about the Stock Market, it will come back, always has, always will. I've lost thousands but just threw in another $25K, very good time to buy. I used to follow it daily and would actually get sick, don't follow it anymore and feel so much better. Think of it this way, it's only on paper, as long as you don't sell, you haven't lost it. Lets go detecting......HH John
