Looks stop watch-ish. Can you open a cover? Any markings?

I did open the back it just had a pat. number and it was all mechanical inside no battery.

I would say pocket watch just because they are very common finds. But the winder/button on top is different.

I don't believe it is a Dollar Watch! It appears to be an Elgin Pocket Watch circa 1890's to 1910 but there were quite a few makers of Pocket Watch Movements which set their' movements in this style of Case.

I would say pocket watch. The circle at the bottom of the first picture is for the second hand. Nice find. Congrats
