strange 1930 wheaty

while talking to the grouns keeper of a place i like to hunt he expressed concern of what the lawn would look like after we dug up the coins
i took out my machine showed him the controls and sweep a small area
dug a plug out and found both of these coins
replaced the plug showed
the grounds keep was amazed as to how well you can plug a hole and how fast i found a coin

when i got home and ran the coins under warm water i found a 1930 and a 1909
the 1930 looks diffrent the 1 is higher then all the other numbers is this normal

As far as the 1 goes...Looks pretty normal to me, but then again I am not normal Too bad that 1909 was not the coveted S VDB.....I hope he lets you continue on that place. Looks like good digs so far. Congrats... jgas

it does appear to be just slightly higher...
