Strange find, is it an error?

Can anyone explain this? I thought it was a bullet or something, but all images on Google that pull up, the bullet goes all the way thru. Plus on the obverse the shape is strange...?

Definitely not an error... It looks like a tool of some kind hit it without fully penetrating the coin...

Thank you, I thought that was the case. Would this 1966 be post-damage as well? I also have a 1974-D that is bent @ apx. 170° that I can find no comparison to.

I have to agree with the previous statements on these particular coins. That being said though, don't worry about posting stuff like this. Sometimes, the mint DOES have some strange errors that could first appear to be Post Mint Damage.. but turns out to be a valuable Mint Produced error type coin.

My example: Waffled Coins:

Hmmmm.....OK, I'm confused......The Mint began waffling coins in 2003 in order to "cancel" out any error coins......How in the world did a Bicentennial Ike dollar end up back at the Mint and get waffled?? .........and, it appears to be a clipped planchet at 3 o'clock....

The one imaged is the only Eisenhower known to exist. It was discovered in 2008. Not sure if it's real (meaning cancelled back in the day), or a modern attempt to replicate it.

Regardless, the coin in question is simply a damaged coin, period.
