Went to a small town park and came up with usual clad and wheat's..I was happy to find a couple of Indians for my effort.. Then I got a high copper hit and dug.. I pulled out a thick, heavy piece of copper or brass the size of a quarter..I was ready to throw it in my trash pocket when I notice some kind of design.. Well after I cleaned it I couldn't believe it.. What is it doing here? That's the same question I asked when I find a Chinese or Japanese ancient.. It is posted in the what is it section as far as anyone knows dates from 100BC to 200AD !!

Wow! Got me wonderin'!

Mr. Senior might know. Great find!

Wow,
That must have had quite a story on how it got to your park, probably a kid or stolen, but who knows... Unless the Vikings brought it... Read the What's it posts, looks like you are getting close to its identity, provenance and period. I think it will be an easy bet that you've found the oldest coin in Illinois this year...

Wow...unusual find....I like those greenies too!

Whoa!!

Definitely older than colonial copper :)

Excellent find!

Awesome find! Take it to a Numismatic expert or post it on the Minelab owners forum to get it ID'd. I sooooo want to hunt Europe and get Roman, Celtic stuff.
