The pointed part is the root, being round makes it likely an upper tooth the ones in the jaw tend to be flattened because space is limited. The shovel shape is typical of an incisor or front teeth. I’d say likely not a carnivore although not impossible
The blackened teeth found on SC beaches can be millions of years old. We have a place where we hunt Megladon teeth. I've never seen anything like that. I would say incisor for a plant eater? By the way, what size is it
Thanks everyone. It's about an inch long maybe 1/3 inches wide. We find shark teeth and vertibrae a lot here but I'd never seen one like this. Thanks for the help.
