Hey everyone

Found this hammer head in an area full of Anglo Boer War relics. It looks specialised. Any ideas?

I wonder if instead of a hammer head it is some type of hoe or pick.

It appears to be a Blacksmith hammer.

It's one of those hammerheads that pound the metal barrel staves on wooden barrels, fantastic find, never saw one dug before, congrats!
