I found this strange ring in the attic of the old abandoned house I've been searching . I think it's brass or bronze . it seems too cumbersome to be worn as a ring because it sticks out so far , it's hard to get something out of your pocket while wearing it . My girlfriend thinks it's to heavy to be a scarf slider. Maybe it is some sort of ceremonial item ? Any ideas ?

Very Interesting Find, Looks like it was cast in a sand mold. Don't have a clue to what it was for. trk5capt...

It barely fits on that person's pinky finger...couldn't be a napkin holder. Any napkin holder I've seen has been like 2 or 3 inches wide...

I don't know...there's an old lady at my church that wears huge jewelery with polished tumbled rocks...I mean like two or three inches long...rings...
so, you just never know. It could be a ring...

I think its a key to a hidden safe...when you put the bird into the lock(possibly shaped like a nest?) ..... it unlocks a treasure ....start tearing up the floor boards! Watch for death traps ,booby traps etc .....remember Goonies? :)

Oh my God! One just like it was on King Tut's mummy! Maybe? Whew, that even got me excited ! Looks old and handmade, looks mid-eastern in design? Monty

Ok ....upon examination...doesnt this bird remind you of the ones from Aztec or Inca culture.
