found this in a very productive field for arrowheads.
its sturdy but not the strongest material.
it has a crack down the middle.
it also looks like the other side has been messed with (groove)
thanks

Good morning, it looks as if the stone in question is the beginning stages of a full groove ax. If it is a soft stone like sand stone it may be an abrading stone. I am a newbie to metal detecting, but have been a arrowhead collector for 15 years. Keep me posted of the arrowheads you find, maybe we can do some trading?

Thanks,
