A friend of mine found this striped object on the edge of brook while walking her dogs. Does anyone no what it is and it's approximate age? I'm guessing it is some kind of early man made tile. It is very thin and smooth with water worn edges.

Am sending picture of a number of similar items found along the Lake Erie shoreline near Port Dover Ontario.
Have seen a few native artifacts found close by. Not a nice shoreline area-no picnics here--Found at bottom of 30 foot drop over 1980's campground. You won't see these in any artifact book, so I guess modern. But check the shapes as not broken then discarded?? Not a broken thin floor tile but stone. Thanks for posting this.1002618_549644678435800_1194266404_n (640x480).webp
