The work crews were out today roto-tilling and raking out the parkways in the street work I've been chasing. Sadly that means the sod is on it's way. Also sadly much of it has just been bared this weekend.

Hit it early on and got several wheaties, lots of mems and a few clads before finally popping another buff from the block, this time a nice 1920 I think. It brought two wheaties with it! The shinies eluded me today. Hit several wheatie pockets along the way.

Mike B hit one with four dated '36 to '47 but was busy field cleaning them as I popped them out of the hole one after another. He also got a nice toy derringer, I got a Star Wars figure!

Had to break early as I tripped down to Dekalb to meet up with Gates21 and relieve him of his old F-70, good deal! Thanks Aaron! Been playing with it in the backyard in the waning light and I think it'll be manageable even by a dullard like myself!

So I'm now in the DSP/DD coil age. Shame on my learning curve!

........Nice Buffalo Lowbatts.......I can't seem to find them anymore.......Congrats

Yeah, new gear!
Uh oh, someone tried to get into the garage a few minutes ago. Forced the backdoor open about 3:00 a.m. local time. I have a ladder blocking the door and a canoe that hangs from the ceiling which limits the travel of the ladder.

Anyhow down here in the Lowbatts Museum I heard two loud bangs from the garage and ran upstairs as the wife came out of the bedroon screaming something was happening so we lit up the house and yards and started screaming obscenities loudly. Found the door was unlocked, not kicked in like last time. (Didn't even take the time to pop out the guns)

EPD responded quickly, two minutes tops since they are usually rolling somewhere around here. Condsidering I dialed their non-emergency number since I didn't actually see anyone, that was good of them! So they are rolling around the block in force now and that helps keep us warm and fuzzy.

Stay safe out there!

Nice nic tim

maybe next year they will continue in a different area...

It sucks being violated like that.....At times we think it won't happen to us and then thats when it does.

If they get in my garage. they better have a light and be able jump over things real quick or they will fall flat on their face.

I've seen your garage, Bob - nobody is going to fit in there! ;D

Great nickel, Tim!!!

Sorry about the attempted break in. I know how that feels!

Tim, I'm glad to hear nothing was taken from you and that you and the Lowbatts clan are OK. Sometimes these things happen when we least expect them...

Nice buffalo!

Joe
