Hello all! I stopped by my local Wells Fargo today and picked up a box of nickels. About 6 rolls in I found a 1934 plain date buffalo, and guess what? There was a 1943-P war nickel in the exact same roll.. I was pretty hype at this point and after I found a few pre1950 jeffersons, I thought my beginners luck had died out. And BAM, the very next roll a faint but sure 1918-D buffalo which is a semi key. I always thought loomis nickel rolls were bad... huh.

all nics are 5 grams__________so there ain't no way to sort 'em. thank the dopes who spend & dump 'em with their eyes wide shut :laughing7:

Sure thing!

Nice finds! Congrats. Also, did you create a new account on the forum? I see the same finds were posted yesterday but under the account NickelLover...hmmm

Yeah, I was having trouble with the other account so I restarted. Any way to "terminate" the other one?

Here are the photos, sorry for the bad quality! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1498574281.816136.webp

Great work. Loomis nickels seem to be ok in my book.

Nice finds! I found an 18-d once in a box too. Mine was a solid VG with a clear date (no 8/7).
Do you know how to tell if it's the overdate? Almost always you can see the die crack above the hair braid - even in heavily worn coins and most dateless coins it is visible. If you are ever looking thru a pile of worn or dateless buffs, check for that die crack on all of your d-mints!

You can most likely PM one of the forum moderators to help you in getting rid of the duplicate account. Nice finds! Love nickel hunting for that very reason. :)

What would you grade it as? Poor-6? Or maybe a G-3 at most?

Funny I just got a dateless Buffalo out of five rolls of Loomis Nickels. Wish I had gotten the box.

Congrats, any mintmark? I once bought a roll of buffs of eBay, most people say that they are searched and they most likely are. Almost all of them were searched but I did find a 1913 S Type 1 and a 1926. Cheers to his carelessness!
