Summer Cabin hunt.

Hey guys. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong place. Anyway, let me give you a little background. My grandparents left about 3 pounds of "junk" silver coinage to my mom and when she showed them to me, I was instantly interested in more (me thinks my grandpa was just a bit more of a silver hoarder) Anyway, my grandparents retired to a house on about 2 acres of property up north, where they lived for a large remainder of their lives. The house remains in the family, and we go up there about every other weekend. Anyway, I'm going to set up a grid plan so that when the spring thaws everything, I'll be ready with my metal detector and shovel. Anyone else have any family "legends"?

Oh, there is certainly a legend in my family. Supposedly one of my ancestors ( I forget which one grandpa said, maybe a great aunt or great grandma) buried some gold coins in a jar and they are not sure if it could still be near their old house which is close to me but no longer owned by family.
