Sunday afternoon hunt

It's a beautiful afternoon here in Ohio and I thought I would try my luck this afternoon in my yard. Is this a ring that I found? It's extremely light and one side seems to be not cut evenly so I sort of doubt it. The second item looks like a lock from a door but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone want to take a stab at these? I laid an ink pen beside for scale.

I'd say yes to the flat object being a lock plate from an old door. The other item? No idea.

The ring looks like a cut off piece of conduit, pipe, or tubing.
