Beautiful weather today. 73 degrees for the high. 2 hour hunt. Found a bunch of pennies-most with some tree soil corrosion. Also, 6 dimes. 1 quarter. 1 Wheat-in surprisingly good condition. It took me 1.5 hours just to find the wheat(this hobby can be brutal). I was hoping to get to a layer of silver coins once I had the layer of pennies removed, but, alas, it wasn't meant to be. Garbage was everywhere! All the coins were found between the trees and the high voltage tower. Did somebody drop a roll of pennies? So many pennies in one small area. This hunt kinda reminded me of the early days when I was just beginning. And it was common to stay out 2-2.5 hours and I could usually count on finding 1-2 really good coins/jewelry and it would be a lot of fun. Some nice memories. Guess those days are mostly in the past. HH now that rest of US is warming up.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That's a lot of targets. Keep at it, there's still lots of silver out there somewhere!
You ain't kidding. That's a lot of stooping and digging--brutal--and I ain't young anymore. Maybe a few of the corroded coins will clean up to be wheaties. Silver coins are so hard to find in our area. Almost everything is developed--sometimes 2 or 10 times over. So much private and Federal land limits the possibilities, too.

You should take a drive out to Elfrida and McNeal. I'll bet you could find some silver in those old towns.

Doing good buddy :) Keep up the swinging and digging

Congratulations on a great hunt. Thanks for sharing.
