I went out hunting on Sunday morning. I hit several spots without much success, and was starting to feel sorry for myself. On the way home I decided to hit an old house site. It started out slow, obviously, I was not the first person to hit the place, as there were not many targets. After about 30 minutes, a '45 Mercury appeared, that got me going. Next good target was a nickel, covered in thick black tarnish, I chipped away the area by the date and, taa daa... 1945. War nickel. A few wheaties also showed up.
I also found a St. Anthony pendant, a DAV key return tag, a dog tag (name blocked out) and a 24 hour sobriety token. I have also generously included a bonus pic of a sweet Tootsie Toy that I dug last week.
YTD silver coins #51 & #52.
Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts!
