So I meet my friend at a caving meeting last night for the first time. Ive hunted this friends civil war property for several years now, which is 82 acres large and have found some nice things. He has a friend with him last night and we start walking up the path to the old historic building where our meeting is. He introduces me as the guy that metal detects his property and the guy immediately says "Hey, you want to detect my civil war farm where a surgeon lived and it was a civil war field hospital?" "Umm....YES PLEASE!"
He goes on to tell me that there may be some bodies and body parts there and some caches of silver. Someone pinch me please, I have to be dreaming. Then he tells me of another property he has that I can detect near Warrenton, VA. Holy cow, more great civil war area. Did this guy just drop from heaven?
Anyway, got his contact info and will be going there within next couple of weeks. Will keep you posted.
