Got a heavy first target this morning during the sunrise totlot tour. Kicking sand aside and scooping, I hit a target that didn't budge easily. Saw a plastic freezer bag and of course thought dirty diapers, old taco bell leftovers, the usual. Not this time!

14 bars looted from some candy drive no doubt. Too bad I didn't get them just a little sooner as it seems yesterdays heat drove them into a bonded meltdown of sorts.

Just when you think you've dug it all.

I just finished replying to Mayo's post when I saw your's pop up. "Super sweet digs!" - at first thought, visions of those friend-buried Morgans leapt into my head. Then I thought "No, this is Tim - he probably found a bag of sugar." :)

You have joined an exclusive club. How many of us have ever dug a bag of candy bars?

OK, I'll say it - Sweet hunt! :-\

That's the new self serve silica based vending technology.
It's the next step up from Redbox.
I hope you left your $14 dollars in the sand next to the bag.

I still have sweet memories of the candy vendor from last year.
The proper description of that sales transaction cannot be put on this forum.
Suffice it to say, the characters were two dirty old men and one female candy vendor with very very tight sweat pants.

I was hoping to find some monetary stash after finding this but it could have turned bad on me. Lil' Lowbatts was doing her first ride-along with the Elgin PD and they were in the neighborhood. Had she seen me, she most definitely would have made a verbal note that I looked suspicious.

I fear the day my kid gets a badge. Think I'll stick to hunting C'ville from now on, that and Cottonwood Park, they never drive by there, all those glue tubes attest to that.

Maybe the bag was put there for you to find Tim! By someone who sees you Cleaning up the lot in the mornings

Those candy bars usually have coupons printed on them.
Check the coupon expiration dates and that may give you an idea if it's new or old chocolate.
If you feel adventurous, put them in your freezer to solidify them and then break off a chunk and see how they taste. Hopefully if it's not poisoned, you'll report back how it was. Or have you already eaten it all? :snorting:

Who can dig the sweet stuff.....?

The Candylowbattsman can......
