superior quality button Confederate???

Hey im open to suggestions about this button. Its a Superior Quality Button...Is this a Confederate button or just an Initial button.My best button find either way.

don't think thats confederate or even civil war could be wrong but I'm pretty sure

Sorry, but it is not confederate or even civil war era. It is most likely a school or academy button from a local area (circa 1870-1900)
