Supplier change

It's time for a change, following a change. The first 10 weeks of the year I averaged 10.1 silvers a box (keep in mind I'm only a 4 box a week guy). At the end of 10 weeks by only pick up ban switched suppliers and I've averaged 0.15 silvers per box. So I suppose it's time to try to find a new pick up bank. We'll see how this goes, wish me luck.

It's tough jumping ship since it's hard to know whether it's just bad luck or a bad supplier. I dumped my first supplier after 67 boxes produced only 7 silver keepers (0.11 per box). My new supplier has been better at 1.7 silver per box (not 10 per box...that's amazing). I would go find a bank that uses your previous supplier. Good luck and keep on rolling!

It was a ridiculous start to the year. I found something like 30 or 40 enders out of 35 boxes. I have an account with a bank that uses the 'other good supplier'. I need to see if I can talk one of the branches into ordering.

Thanks. I hunted the ATL a couple of weeks ago and was completely skunked. I did find a bank that would sell me the bag off the machine but it only had ~$55 in halves off of it and I didn't feel like dumping $950 to get the $50.

My supplier's silver keepers to box ratio just went up to 3.7 per box. It's great to be part of the dreamers club. Good luck getting orders going from your old supplier.

You usually need to change banks since all the branches will use the same supplier (in my experience). It can be difficult to know who the supplier is unless the rolls have the name on the wrapper or you happen to see the delivery truck. I have had Loomis deliver Brinks boxes before-so the truck is not definitive. There is the possibility of the suppliers sharing boxes or routes. It's hard to say what is going on exactly. I have asked a vault teller which supplier they used and she responded with the Federal Reserve which is highly unlikely but not impossible.

If a teller tells you that the Federal Reserve is their supplier, then the teller is misinformed. It is likely that the armored service that they use is a Federal Reserve contractor. In any given area, one or more Cash Management companies will have a contract to act on behalf of the Federal Reserve for various things having to do with accounting of cash. Most of these companies that I am aware of have armored services, coin and currency packaging, and cash warehousing services.
