IMG_0169.webpLiving on an International boarder crossing between Michigan and Canada, Canadian coins have always been a part of life here. Dug a first for me today, a 1928 Canadian small cent. Never seen one, did not ever hear of one, probably just a common penny, I liken it almost to our Wheat cents. Also a 1936 Wheat, some clad, some junk, and a good time!! Sorry no pictures..................camera issues :BangHead:IMG_0169.webp

when you get the pics, would love to see them

The Canadian cents of that type are of quite a bit lower mintage than wheats, so its a decent little find. There were more wheaties minted at Philadelphia in 1910 than were minted of that type of Canadian cent cent in its entire run (1920-36). No great value, but a neat little find.

That 1928 Canadian cent is not as common as you would think.

Wow, thanks guys. 59 years living across the river from Sarnia Ont. Canada, never seen one, found at an old home site, at the Fairgrounds, where I have been finding coins from 1890's to-recent clad.

Nice digs and thanks for sharing those pictures
