You Dirty Dog! Man I love shoe buckles and you found a beauty. I'm guessing late 1700s. But I will look to make sure. Great find buddy

Btw the Ross Whitehead online guide is awesome and it's a free downloadable PDF file

Real nice find Dirtwisher..
Still looking for my first like that..

Definitely a late 1700s Georgian shoe buckle. We've found that exact buckle in our area but rarely in the form of a complete frame. Very nice find!

Thanks guys. I'm on a buckle tear I guess! Found this partial about a week ago.

I think they're my favorite relic find.

Here's a honker, although not a shoe buckle. The next one is though; a piece from a real beauty. Wish I found that one whole!

Wow that would have been gorgeous

That is a gorgeous shoe buckle. So how can you tell it's from Georgia? Just kidding! I honestly know nothing about old relics like that but I'm not that dumb....LOL

Here's a few I've found. Front left is actually pewter. The huge green one is beautiful and has designs on it. Paul Bunyan could have worn it.

Wow holy crap that thing is huge. The buckle I mean. Lol. Getting late I guess. I've found a bunch of the ones with the teeth on them but they're always small. Kids maybe?

They could be knee buckles
