Had a killer signal that ended up being part of a giant iron pot. Digging it out at 30 inches I dug into an oyster shell pile. I removed the iron and got a beautiful signal. The buckle came out looking just like the pic with no cleaning. The frame runs vertical on the long side. First for me. The two bottle tops were mixed in the oyster shell one looks like the top of an Onion Bottle the other looks just as old. I will return with a bigger shovel.

Nice knee buckle. I would dig through that oyster shell pit very thoroughly. Hard to find trash pits that old!

I'm going to follow the oyster shell, it is an oldie.

The oyster shells neutralized the acidic soil. That's why the buckle came out so nice. Gary

Wow, that’s a beauty!! Nice job and keep us posted!

Very nice! The other bottle top is off a case gin.
