That is sweet. Found my first just 3 weeks ago. It was an LSU graduation ring from 1957. Initials were that of the property owner. I returned it to him to his surprise. He had no idea where it was but it had been missing for 40 years. That story is worth the ring weight in gold. Good luck. Any idea of the date?

Pretty ring and I do so hope you can find the owner, what a great reunion that would be.

Thank you all!! Cross that off the bucket list! Lol

My heart always skips a beat digging a ring!!

congrats on your ethics!

I have found 2 class rings in the past 10 yrs. one from class of 1930 and one from class of 1969, both high school rings. Both were returned to rightful owners ( in the case of the older ring., returned to the child of the original owner) .... There really is no better feeling than seeing the expressions on their faces when they get these rings back. It is a great joy

Very sweet indeed! I'm still looking for my first class ring. Found a number of silver rings, but no gold rings, diamond rings or class rings yet. So I am envious of your find. Congrats!!!

I found one on saturday called the school they called the Dad of the student( 2012) and they still haven't called me .Can not figure that out.

I first started metal detecting in 1968. It was a different hobby at that time. 1/3 or more of the coins I found were silver and being the first or near the first to look around my old high school, I found thirty-eight class rings. I had a jewelry store at the time, I put them in a ring case and displayed them in my window. I ran an ad in the paper that anyone that could prove ownership was welcome to have their ring back. I had a lot of people come look and ended up with three of them being stolen. I moved them to the safe and in the early 1980's when gold got so high, I sold them for scrap. At that time, before the internet, it wasn't so easy to find the owners and the school superintendent didn't care to help me locate anyone.

:icon_thumright: Lovely ring! Hope you find the owner, though may not be possible without the person's initials? Andi

It has initials, think I found the person, just gotta contact them. I hope they will be happy!

Returned the ring! Turned out it was stolen when she was a senior, been lost for 13 years! She was amazed! Off to find the next 1!

Great find. Congrats on the return!!!!
