We were hanging around a swimming hole and got a bit of loot. Mostly heavily corroded pocket change, all fairly modern. A thin copper disk, two lead sinkers, an id bracelet (probably stainless steel?), and two rings. The men's ring is labeled Nohe Titanium T1. The women's ring has a purple stone/glass surrounded by small clear ones. It's a reddish gold color but if you overpolish there's a more gold (or brass) color underneath. It appears to be marked .22 but I am not 100% on that. It's not magnetic, and I can make a mark on it with my teeth. It was intact and my bother in law squeezed it and broke it, so I am guessing it's too brittle to be gold. This is my second time out so I still have a lot to learn, if any jewelry experts have any tips or advice I'd love to hear it. Thanks, Happy hunting everybody!

Can't read what the broken piece reads. care to tell us? Fresh water or salt water swimming hole?

Bracelet appears it might be silver, did you clean the back to see if it is marked? Usually marked on the engraved piece.

Freshwater, spring fed. It's weird how corroded the coins are, theres a penny that is crumbing.

I think it says .22, but it's very hard to read. The bracelet has rust, and I can't tell if it's engraved. I'll start cleaning it up now. : )

The penny is what we call a zincoln and they started making them in 1983, prior to that pennies were made of copper.

Nice hunt with some cool finds! :occasion14:

the stamp on the broken ring could by .925 When the stamp gets worn or damaged it can look weird.

In the picture the ring looks copper colored. If so, it's a plated ring.

I can usually tell by the VDI numbers Cool ring either way when I found my 10k the ground was frozen LOL

Thanks for the feedback! Awesome find on the ring, A2coins!I've got my fingers crossed on this one. I am going to take it and the ID bracelet to town and see what a jeweler can tell me soon, so i will post the results here.Going back today because last time was a short trip, so hopefully we will find more stuff. : )

Just a quick update, the ring and ID bracelet aren't anything fancy, just costume jewelry. Maybe next time. : ) Happy hunting!

Thanks for the update. Plenty of that and plenty of fakes to go around out in the water, that is for sure.
