Can't say anything about the sword maker, the bust figure reminds me of George ll
I'll be interested to see where the id ends up, nice find!

Wow, I thought I would never find out, but that is identical!!! Thanks Villagenut for the info, now I wonder what it is worth....:)

I also wonder if this might be from the French and Indian War, or maybe from the French troops that came the the aid of the Americans during the Revolutionary War........Hard to say, I need a professional!! :)

In the link I posted, it says that this was from the first half of the 18th century. It tells a little history of the possibilities of how they came into the American soil. Depends on where you found it and what the other artifacts found nearby it tell us, context wise. Often times, other finds will support or shoot down our theory about a site and how the artifacts as a whole, relate to one another. According to the link, it may have been traded to Native Americans by French sailors. Could be anybodies guess.
