Started gridding the T Shaped Field for the first time today. We did 3 hours & only got 5 scrappies & a Roman Steelyard Weight. (plus other buttons & bits...)
After lunch we decided to grid the Top T Right area where the Ses came from. This was even worse with only 3 scrappies in 3 hours (even if 2 we bigger types)
Other finds - Roman Furniture Finial, No.3 Gunters Chain Marker, Tudor Button, 14th C Medieval Buckle & part of a Roman Fibula Catchplate.
These new fields are not worth our effort this time of year & we need another plan.

Still some interesting finds. Might have to rename this "the four-hole button field."

Wow! Okay, THAT'S "the four-hole button field."

The catch plate came off a decent sized fibula.... Although that wasn't a bad day in my world i'm sure there are better ones in the line for you!

Yes a huge 1st C AD type. Very odd as the oldest coins have only been mid 2nd C & showing about 100 years of wear!

Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!
