I like the new Tek-Point, but not frozen ground. LOL Next time I am foolish enough to attempt this, I think I will bring a chipping gun. Did recover some coins and a couple pieces of junk, can slaw, screw caps. Left several targets where they lay. With some practice i think i can learn to approximate target size. i like the belt strap/holster. I wore it something like a sword scabbard. Maybe a 45 degree angle left side . That way easy to grab and re-holster. Yeah, got lots of mud on it. Easy to clean. I was able to pinpoint many targets before digging. Really helps when digging ice.
If you feel the irresistible urge to go ice hunting, try it once and you'll be cured for life. LOL Be sure to bring gloves and a kneeler pad. I only dig shallow coins/silver. Nothing iffy. It's tempting to try to recover the deep targets. PITA for sure.
