Couple weeks ago I was dumping at a WF bank. Teller had a Ben Franklin in her tray. She wouldnt sell it to me. It doesn't put me off, I'd do the same thing if I worked there.

Today I was at a US bank dumping halves when I though I spotted a silver quarter in the gal's tray. So I asked here for 5 dollars worth of quarters, which should have got me that quarter where it was positioned, because I had to do "laundry" tonight.

Where she got the quarters from in here tray was where I spotted the prize. Chucked them in my vest pocket and left. Got back to my truck and the first handful I pulled out contained a Canadian quarter. Dang! Didnt even look at the rest, threw them into the cup holder. Got to thinking, I'm sure that was a silver quarter, looked at the rest and darned if one of them wasnt a 64.

Made my day to pull the rare silver quarter.

Something I try to keep in mind when I noticing teller tray silver is to ask for rolls of what ever denomination it is. Not so much with dimes but quarters. One time I noticed a teller had 5 silver quarters in her tray I asked to buy them and also got $100 worth of rolls to see if maybe the teller had opened a box that was loaded. Didn't get any more but it's something to keep in mind next time you notice silver in a teller tray. Could be loaded rolls for the taking! HH
