Tesoro Compadre, Light Water

Hi,

I'm a complete newbie to detecting. I'm all ready to buy a new Tesoro Compadre. ($151 including shipping--if anyone knows of a better deal, please let me know.) I would be interested in detecting in a creek, no more then 4" -5 " high, 1"-2" near the banks. Is that ok?

From what I know, you should be okay with the Compadre in detecting the creek. I sometimes used mine at the edge of lakes. Just don't get the control box wet. I would double check with Tesoro just to be sure. You can't go wrong with the Compadre.
