How accurate is the digital target number ID and depth indicator on the Cortes. I wonder how it compares to the Explorer 2. thanks Neilo
None of them are accurate no matter what detector you use i go only by tone.. Target number ID is a joke a lot of guys and gals fall for it though and put out the bucks to get it............... :angry4: :angry4:

I love the id meter on the DeLeon. It has helped me find a lot more nickles and dig less trash than the Cibola. I hardly ever dug nickles with the Cib. I also find I run with a lot less discrimination on the DeLeon, and use the meter more than the sound, to ID iron.

If you used a Golden you wouldn't need a meter for iron. Run it with low to no disc and ignore the low tones. VID is ok, but with tones you aren't spending time looking at a display and trying to figure out if it's lying to you.

I thought about a Golden , but found a great deal on a used DeLeon and got it instead.
