Tesoro Eldorado question

Will the Eldorodo be a decent nugget hunter? I am not interested in hunting "flake" gold, but would still like ti get hits on maybe bb size gold. It does have a 10 turn GEB and I think it operates around 10 Khz. thanks

usually you got to have have 14khz or higher to find the tiny stuff, i tried nuggett hunting with my deleon last summer with the 4" coil and in all metal mode and i could tell very easily the difference of what the hot rocks were! but this last week i just got a nice used eldorado and were going to try eventually a SEF coil on it for my hunts i'm mainly after coins

i don,t think the eldo is recommended for gold hunting, although it would certainly be sufficient for an occasional weekend excursion. But for really serious hunting, a detector specifically designed for gold hunting would be a better choice.

All i know about the Eldorado is that the owners manual says good for small gold.......
